The summer is quickly loading up for the UFC, with many high profile bout announcements coming out in the past few days.
The Middleweight division has gotten another ranked bout, as Sean Strickland will take on Uriah Hall at the UFC 265 card on August 7th, per ESPN.
Sean Strickland (23-3) is ranked at #12 and is currently riding a four fight win streak including two knockouts. He was last seen on May 1st, winning a clear decision against Krzysztof Jotko. Strickland has been a top prospect for many years, with finishing skills, slick boxing, and great takedown defense.
Though in the finals stage of his career, Uriah Hall (17-9) is making a final run towards the title, currently ranked at #8. He is also coming off four straight wins, with three by knockout. He was last seen winning via TKO against Chris Weidman, when he checked a leg kick and broke Weidman’s leg 17 seconds into their bout.
The UFC 265 is quite skimpy, but we have three months for it to sort itself out. As of right now, the headliner is Amanda Nunes defending her title against Julianna Pena.
