The hit reality show The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) has had its return teased for quite a few months now, and we have finally got our coaching assignments. Alexander Volkanovski and Brian Ortega are currently signed on as opposing coaches for the 29th season.
April looks to be another impressive month, with three UFC shows lined up, including the Octagon’s return to ABC as well as UFC 261, where Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal will run it back.
Perhaps the most intriguing news from this report is that this bout will be the first five round non-title co-main event in UFC history. Even with no gold on the line, we can expect this two big name draws to battle it out for 25 minutes or less.

Tate is still just 34 years old and should still be in her athletic prime by MMA standards, but she has received an optimal matchup for her return. “Cupcake” is currently booked to fight Marion Reneau at a UFC event on July 17th.
On the UFC Vegas 22 broadcast, the news was broken that Alexander Volkanovski will not be making his scheduled title defense opposite Brian Ortega.
Firstly, former champ TJ Dillashaw will be making his return to the Octagon after popping for EPO way back in January of 2019. He will take on the surging Cory Sandhagen as the main event for a Fight Night card on May 8th.
