Derek Brunson (23-7) has gone on a. five-fight tear, claiming TKO victories over the much hyped Edmen Shahbazyan and Darren Till. He is currently ranked #4 at 185 pounds and needs just one more win to solidify his name as next in line for the title.

Jared Cannonier scored three straight knockouts at Middleweight before running into Robert Whittaker, who overwhelmed him in a decision. He got back on track in his last outing against Kelvin Gastelum, winning a five-round decision.

This fight will take place not he first Pay-Per-View of 2022, with the winner likely challenging the victor of Adesanya vs. Whittaker 2.
