A top ten Middleweight matchup has just been booked for UFC 268, as Sean Strickland will take on Luke Rockhold, as first reported by Aaron Bronsteter.
Luke Rockhold (16-5) has not competed since July 2019, where he was knocked out by current Light Heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz. Rockhold previously held both the Strikeforce and UFC titles, but has not claimed victory in nearly four years.
Having just claimed victory this past weekend, Sean Strickland (24-3) has quickly mapped a return to the cage. He claimed the number eight ranking at 185 pounds with a dominant decision win over Uriah Hall. He now finds himself on a five fight win streak including two knockouts.
This fight has been verbally agreed to by both parties and will adorn the main card of UFC 268, set to be headlined by the rematch between Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington.
