A top five Middleweight fight has just been booked, as the two most recent title challengers Paulo Costa and Marvin Vettori will go head-to-head.
Still ranked at #2 at 185 pounds, Paulo Costa (13-1) has not competed since September of 2020, where he was knocked out in the second round of his title shot opposite Israel Adesanya. Though he has been booked for two fights, the injury bug has caught him bad, forcing him out of clashes with Robert Whittaker and Jared Cannonier.
Marvin Vettori (17-5) finally got his long-awaited rematch against Adesanya, but lost a clear cut decision in a striking clinic. Prior to that loss, Vettori had scored five straight wins, including a submission over Karl Roberson.
This fight will headline the UFC Fight Night card set to go down October 23rd, with a venue not currently set.
