Just hours ago, it was announced that Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington will finally meet in their long awaited rematch. The fight will take place at UFC 268 in October, per Brett Okamoto of ESPN.
Kamaru Usman (19-1) has never lost in the UFC. After claiming the Welterweight title against Tyron Woodley, he has rattled off four straight title defenses, including three knockout victories.
Colby Covington finally got his shot at an undisputed crown in December 2019, but was finished by Usman in their Fight of the Night classic. He got back on the winning track against Tyron Woodley, capturing a fifth round TKO.
Though an official date or venue has nit been confirmed, the targeted date is November 6th at Madison Square Garden.
