This past Saturday’s Fight Night card took its fair share of hits due to injury and COVID-19. This started with the loss of the main event, followed by numerous fight cancellations just the day prior to the event.
Two of these cancelled fights have fortunately been rebooked in short order.
Firstly, Ben Rothwell and Philipe Lins have been rebooked for May 22nd. Lins was forced to withdrawn from their contest for the second time this past Friday due to illness.
A highly awaited main card bout between Amanda Ribas and Angela Hill also fell through after Ribas and her father came down with COVID-19. This Strawweight tilt has been rescheduled for June 5th.
Thankfully, none of these fighters have had to sit on the shelf for too long following their misfortune during fight week. Hopefully, we will soon be able to say the same for this scrapped matchup.
