The Fight Night card on May 8th had a top five Bantamweight showdown booked for the main event, heavily awaited by many fans between Cory Sandhagen and TJ Dillashaw.

Unfortunately, Dillashaw has been forced out of the contest due to an injury, per @CCLegaspi on Twitter. The UFC is looking for a new main event.

This was set to be TJ Dillashaw’s first bout since January of 2019, where he was knocked out by Henry Cejudo in under a minute and subsequently suspended two years for EPO.

Cory Sandhagen is on a two fight winning streak, both highlight reel knockouts, over Marlon Moraes and Frankie Edgar, since losing by submission to current champion Aljamain Sterling.

Hopefully, this bout can be rebooked, as these two strikers were sure to produce fireworks.
