The ranked Flyweight contest between Askar Askarov and Alex Perez has been called off following Askarov’s removal from the card.

Fortunately, a replacement has been found in short order. Matt Schnell will take on the #4 ranked Alex Perez on the Fight Night card.

Matt Schnell (15-6) is currently ranked #9 in the Flyweight division, most recently losing a decision to Rogerio Bontorin. Prior to that, he picked up a close decision over Tyson Nam in an entertaining back and forth.

The card is currently set to be headlined by the Featherweight contest between Edson Barboza and Giga Chikadze.
