The high-level Fight Night card on May 8th took a hit this morning when the main event between TJ Dillashaw and Cory Sandhagen was cancelled.

Fortunately, the UFC has quickly put together a new main event with a new booking for the thirteen bout fight card.

#6 ranked Michelle Waterson will be taking on Marina Rodriguez, who is ranked at #9, in a five-round contest, as Ariel Helwani first reported. This was later confirmed by @combat_insider on Twitter.

Waterson is coming off of a split decision win over Angela Hill in a main event, while Marina Rodriguez shocked the audience at UFC 257 by knocking out top prospect Amanda Ribas.

This a fun main event in the most stacked women’s division to adorn an already stacked card, with the likes of Cowboy Cerrone, Diego Sanchez, Neil Magny, and Geoff Neal also fighting on the card.
