A top ranked Lightweight contest has just been booked for the UF 267 card, as Islam Makhachev will take on Rafael dos Anjos.

Islam Makhachev (20-1) soared into the top 5 rankings with a submission over Thiago Moises, his eighth win in a row. Close personal friend of former champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, Islam has been cited by many as the next threat to the Lightweight crown.

Former champions Rafael dos Anjos (30-13) returned to Lightweight last year against Paul Felder. RDA took home a split decision that should not have been close on the scorecards. RDSA is about as well-rounded as they come, with great striking and grappling.

This fight has been cancelled twice prior, so hopefully these two finally enter the cage at UFC 267, set to go down October 30th.
