Nick Diaz’s return has been long awaited after his suspension for marijuana was finally up.

His return fight is currently set to be against Robbie Lawler in September, likely as the co-main event for UFC 266. The fight was just confirmed as official today, and will be a five-round Welterweight contest on the UFC 266 card

News of this was first released by Aaron Bronsteter of TSN Sports, with final confirmation coming via Brett Okamoto.

Nick Diaz (26-9) has not competed professionally since 2015, where he lost a decision to Anderson Silva which was overturned to a. no contest. Diaz received a five-year suspension, later reduced, for a positive marijuana test. Diaz is currently 26-9, but is now 37 years old.
