Changes in the Rankings After UFC 264

There were a good amount of changes in the rankings this week after an eventful weekend at UFC 264.

In the flyweight rankings, Matheus Nicolau moved up one position to number 13 while Su Madaerji moves down one position to number 14.

For the bantamweights, Kyler Phillips moves up one position to number 14 while Cody Stamann moves down one position to number 15. Surprisingly, Sean O’Malley still has yet to make an appearance in the top 15 rankings.

Josh Emmett moves down one spot to number 7 in the featherweight rankings while Bryce Mitchell and Sodiq Yusuf swap places. Mitchell is now ranked number 11 and Yusuff is number 12. Ilia Topuria had a great performance over the weekend which was enough for him to finally make an appearance into the rankings. He now holds the number 15 spot.

Conor McGregor had a tough weekend and has dropped two positions in the lightweight rankings. He now holds the number 7 spot while Tony Ferguson and Rafael Dos Anjos each move up one position. Dos Anjos is now ranked number 6 and Ferguson is ranked number 5.

For the welterweights, Michael Chiesa moves up one position to number 5 and Vicente Luque moves down one slot to number 6.

Brad Tavares had a good win over the weekend which resulted him moving up 3 spots in the middleweight rankings. He now holds the number 12 spot while Chris Weidman falls to number 13 and Omari Akhmedov falls to number 15.

For the heavyweights, Blagoy Ivanov moves up two places to number 11 while Walt Harris, Tom Aspinall and Sergei Pavlovich each fall one position. Harris is now ranked number number 12, Aspinall is number 13 and Pavlovich is number 15.

In the women’s straw weight division, Mackenzie Dern and Marina Rodriguez swap places in the rankings. Dern is now number 5 and Rodriguez is number 6.

For the women’s flyweights, Viviane Araujo jumps up one position to number 7 while Jessica Eye falls one position to number 8. Additionally, Miranda Maverick moves up one spot to number 13 and Maycee Barber falls one spot to number 14.

The women’s bantamweight division only has two changes with Juliana Pena moving up one slot to number 5 and Yana Kunitskaya moving down one slot to number 6.

The only other changes to report are in the men’s pound for pound rankings. Jan Blachowicz moves down one spot to number 7 and Brandon Moreno moves up one spot to number 11.
