The combat sports world has been overrun by the Paul brothers, with Jake Paul knocking out Ben Askren and his older brother Logan engaging in a surprisingly competitive affair against Floyd Mayweather.
Shortly after the Askren fight, Paul announced his next bout – a clash with former UFC champion and Askren’s long time training partner Tyron Woodley.
The boxing match will take place on August 22nd in Cleveland, Ohio.
The fight is an official boxing bout, with no special exhibition rules. Furthermore, the fight will take place at 190 pounds, substantially larger than Woodley’s usual stomping grounds of 170.
The power-punching Woodley is certainly a stiff step up in competition for the YouTube star Paul, who will need to seriously improve his defense ahead of this fight.
