The UFC held a massive Pay-Per-View event with the trilogy between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor headlining the card, though tragedy struck the main event.
Conor McGregor suffered a vicious leg break, with the doctor stopping the fight between the first and second rounds.
At the post-fight press conference, UFC president Dana White stated that he is interested in rebooking Poirier and McGregor for a fourth encounter.
This is certainly a controversial statement, as Poirier finished McGregor twice in the span of six months. However, White also said that Poirier is next in line for the title shot against Charles Oliveira.
Poirier will likely take that fight while McGregor is healing up, then the UFC will look at booking the fourth match, per White.
