Nick Diaz Considering Professional Boxing Debut, Sets Return for September 2021

Following his younger brother Nate’s performance on the big stage, Nick Diaz has re-inserted his name as a future contender, though it just might not be in the Octagon.

Cesar Gracie, Diaz’s coach since a teenager, confirmed Diaz’s target date to return to competition in an exchange with MMAFighting.com.

“We were looking at September. I have to see where he is in his contract. It is possible that his next fight will not be in the UFC.”

Gracie further confirmed that Diaz was certainly interested in a boxing match, and that may be where his future interests lie.

Nick Diaz (26-9) has not competed professionally since 2015, where he lost a decision to Anderson Silva which was overturned to a. no contest. Diaz received a five-year suspension, later reduced, for a positive marijuana test. Diaz is currently 26-9, but is now 37 years old.

Diaz’s return, whether in the boxing ring or UFC Octagon, will be greatly anticipated by many. Tune into our home page for any future news updates!
