A ranked Featherweight contest has just been added to UFC 264 when Ryan Hall takes on Ilia Topuria, as confirmed by Giorgi Kokiashvili.
Ryan Hall (8-1) has not competed since July 2019, where he took home a decision win over Darren Elkins. He reached the #14 spot in the Featherweight rankings before being removed for inactivity, as he suffered three fight cancellations since his last appearance. An elite grappler with an unorthodox striking style, Hall had many issues finding a similarly ranked opponent who would sign the contract.
Fellow grappling ace Ilia Topuria (10-0) made his way to the UFC with eight straight wins. He wasted no time once he made it, defeating Youssef Zalal before knocking out Damon Jackson to score a Performance of the Night bonus. All but one of his wins have come by stoppage.
UFC 264 is currently set to round out International Fight Week on July 10th, with the trilogy bout between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor set as the headliner, as well as many other fun bouts.
