Sandhagen vs. Dillashaw Rebooked for July 24

All MMA fans received a tremendous blow when the highly anticipated bout between Cory Sandhagen and TJ Dillashaw fell out just about three weeks ago.

Their Bantamweight bout was set to take place on May 15th as the Fight Night headliner, but was cancelled due to an injury Dillashaw suffered during sparring.

Fortunately, this bout has been rebooked in short order. The two will meet on July 24th, once again as the main event on a Fight Night card. This bout is projected to determine the next title challenger after Aljamain Sterling and Petr Yan settle their beef.

This bout will be TJ Dillashaw’s first appearance in the Octagon since January 2019, where he was knocked out by Henry Cejudo and subsequently popped for EPO, a performance enhancer. Sandhagen, on the other hand, is coming off two highlight reel knockout wins and occupies the #2 spot in the Bantamweight rankings.

Two other top Bantamweights will go at it this Saturday when Rob Font meets Cody Garbrandt atop a stacked Fight Night card.
