Rising superstar Sean O’Malley has been booked to fight Louis Smolka at UFC 264 on July 10th, as broken by Ryan Frederick.
O’Malley (13-1) lost his undefeated record due to a perfectly placed leg kick from Marlon Vera, but got back on the winning track at UFC 260 last month against Thomas Almeida.
On the other hand, Louis Smolka (17-7) also got back to his winning ways in his last bout, knocking out Jose Quinonez in the second round. He has been a UFC staple for many years and is well known for his finishing ability and brawling style.
UFC 264 is currently set to be headlined by the trilogy fight between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor, and the card is clearly shaping up nicely.
Though neither fighter in this meeting is currently in the UFC rankings, the winner will likely have earned themself a crack at a ranked opponent in their next go.
