The UFC 264 PPV card is currently set to round out International Fight Week 2021, and it brings a heated main event in the trilogy bout between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor.
The card has been quickly shaping up, as we had a heated Bantamweight clash added to the card just yesterday.
A top ranked Women’s Bantamweight bout between Irene Aldana and Yana Kunitskaya has just been added to the card, per C. Contreras Legaspi of ESPN.
Irene Aldana (12-6) has not competed since her first main event showcase opposite Holly Holm last October, where she lost a decision. Prior to that, the #4 ranked fighter was on a two-fight win streak including a highlight reel KO of Ketlen Vieira.
On a two-fight win streak, Yana Kunitskaya (14-5) is looking to pave her way to the title, most recently beating the aforementioned Vieira in a decision. She is ranked at #5 in the Bantamweight division and has put on a 4-1 record in the division since joining the UFC to face Cris Cyborg up a weight class.
These two strikers are sure to bring a technical and high-paced firefight that will likely find itself on the main card of this colossal event.
