Fairn vs. Nunes Off of UFC Vegas 24

We have an exciting Fight Night card coming up tomorrow, with the rebooking of Robert Whittaker and Kelvin Gastelum as our main event.

Zarah Fairn and Josiane Nunes were set to meet in a Bantamweight (135 lb.) contest, but at weigh-ins, the fight was changed to a 139 pound Catchweight bout.

Nonetheless, Zarah Fairn missed weight by a whopping eight pounds, coming in at 147 pounds. This would have been her first bout at Bantamweight, as she previously fought at Featherweight prior to the division being scrapped.

Nunes, who was set to make her UFC debut as a late replacement here, came in at 136. The 11-pound weight discrepancy forced the bout to be called off, regardless of either fighter’s interest in proceeding.

We still have eleven bouts now set to go tomorrow, following this news as well as an earlier cancellation. Be sure to tune in at 7 PM EST for the start of this card!
