Today has been a big day for the UFC Women’s divisions, with quite a few fights booked, including this one.
UFC president Dana White just broke the news to ESPN that Maycee Barber and Miranda Maverick have been booked to fight at an unnamed UFC event on July 24th.
The two prospects will go at it in the Flyweight (125 lb.) division.
Barber (8-2), who is just 22 years old, made headlines by racking up three straight knockout wins inside of the promotion after earning a UFC contract on the Contender Series. She now finds herself on a two-fight losing skid, dropping decisions to Roxanne Modafferi and Alexa Grasso.
Miranda Maverick (9-2), just a year older at 23, found herself in the Octagon after winning the Phoenix Rising tournament and claiming the Invicta Flyweight title. Maverick was just seen at UFC 260, winning a decision over submission expert Gillian Robertson. This was her second win in the UFC, as she dispatched Liana Jojua in just one round.
These two young prospects have high ceilings on them and will provide the fans with a must-see fight come July!
