The UFC returns to the Apex in Las Vegas for the second week in a row, bringing a twelve-bout Fight Night card.

In the main event, ranked Light Heavyweight contenders clash as veteran finisher Nikita Krylov takes on the explosive Ryan Spann. Andre Muniz and Brendan Allen lock horns in the co-main event in a Middleweight bout sure to delight grappling fans.

I’m once again dropping my full predictions slate, including the six prelim fights.

Main Card

Nikita Krylov (29-9) vs. Ryan Spann (21-7) (LHW)

Our main event features two Light Heavyweight finishers unnaccustomed to going the distance. Krylov is an offensive machine, but often puts himself in harm’s way, leaving his neck open on takedown entries or letting his opponent have room to work on the mat. Spann is a powerful athelete who relies heavily on his explosiveness, though it has shone through in highlight reel finishes of Misha Cirkunov and Dominick Reyes. However, his durability is a concern. While both fighters have showed cardio issues across their career, I give the slight edge to Krylov, who kepty a high wrestling pace up against Johnny Walker across the full 15 minutes. The pick is for Krylov to find the chin of Spann before the midway point of the bout, though I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if Spann caught a nasty submission off a lackadaiscal takedown entry from Krylov. If you’re a bettor, go with violence in this one.
