One of the craziest matches to possibly take place in combat sports has just been booked, as MMA great Demtrious Johnson will battle Muay Thai superstar Rodtang Jitmuangnon on December 5th.

The pair will fight in a special rules bout, with alternating rounds of Muay Thai and mixed martial arts, catering to the specialties of both fighters and creating the most compelling way to view this colossal fight. Rodtang has been on a tear since joining ONE, with nine wins under the promotional banner and an upcoming bout at the previously recorded ONE: First Strike event against Daniel Puertas. Though he is just 24 years old, he is a Muay Thai prodigy with a full record of 267-42-10.

Demetrious Johnson came over to ONE through the first ever promotional trade in Mixed Martial Arts. After scoring three wins and winning the Flyweight Grand Prix, Johnson was matched up with current champion Adriano Moraes, and was knocked out in the second round. This will be his first foray into professional Muay Thai.

This colossal match will take place at ONE X, set to go down on December 5th.
