Khamzat Chimaev will make his first appearance in what will be over a year at UFC 267 on October 30th, taking on Li Jingliang. News of this bout was first broken by octagon.bet.
Khamzat Chimaev (9-0) took little time to make waves in the Octagon, racking up three performance bonuses over the span of just two months. Then came a top ranked opponent for Borz, but he came down with a tough case of COVID-19, After teasing retirement, Chimaev is once again committed to claiming UFC gold and will get his first crack at a ranked opponent here.
Li Jingliang (18-6) started 2021 off with a bang, flattening Santiago Ponzinnibio with a brutal hook. This got him back on the winning track after a decision loss to Neil Magny, and pushed him to the #12 ranked Welterweight.
These two will likely go at it on the main card of UFC 267, headlined by the Light Heavyweight title fight.
