The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) is one of the most important organizations in the combat sports world, residing over all events in Las Vegas and the state of Nevada as a whole.
The Commission has long received criticism for its outdated policy on the usage of marijuana, suspending numerous fighters and overturning wins due to the consumption of the drug.
Those against the commission’s hardline stance against the drug cite its inefficacy in terms of performance enhancement.
Fighters will now no longer be suspended following today’s rule change (despite some last minute suspensions being handed out today) for the consumption of mairjuana, and are now free to use any THC products without fear of suspension.
Numerous fighters have been unfairly penalized for this, so hopefully some fight results can be un-overturned.
