A top ranked Featherweight bout has just been announced, as Max Holloway will take on Yair Rodriguez, as confirmed by Brett Okamoto.

Max Holloway (22-6) lost his belt in two razor thin decisions to Alexander Volkanovski. His return fight was a true spectacle however, as Holloway styled on Calvin Kattar for five rounds. He is currently occupying the #1 ranking at 145 pounds.

Finally a fight is booked for Yair Rodriguez (13-2). He has not competed since October of 2019, where he took home a decision win over Jeremy Stephens, putting him on a two-fight win streak. He occupies the #3 spot, right behind title challenger Brian Ortega.

The two will meet as the five round main event of the July 17th Fight Night card, with the winner almost assuredly earning a title shot. The card is already one to keep an eye on, with high level bout announcements coming left and right!
