Recent years have seen Dana White’s Contender Series produce some of the best new UFC contenders, and it will continue with that in 2021.

On top of the usual Contender Series season, the UFC announced last month that they will also have a series of events titled Contender Series Asia, first released by John Hyon Ko.

The season will consist of primarily Chinese fighters, while also bringing in other Asian content.

The season was originally supposed to begin in June, but it has been pushed back to the fall. On top of this, the location may take place at either the UFC Apex or an unconfirmed venue in Asia.
