Before Dustin Poirier shocked the world by knocking out Conor McGregor in the second round, there was much made of his promise to donate a whopping $500,000 to Dustin’s Good Fight Foundation.
However, Poirier took to Twitter recently, stating that he received no such donation.
According to McGregor, the awaited trilogy bout set to go down on July 10th will not be taking place. While Poirier had already signed his bout agreement, McGregor is still yet to do so.
Quite a few Lightweights and Welterweights have thrown their name into the ring to fight McGregor, including Kevin Lee, but we will just have to wait and see what comes about.
Of course, given McGregor’s track record, there is a good to fair chance that this is all just promotion for that sweet Pay-Per-View cash.
