UFC Kansas City Main Card Predictions: Holloway vs. Allen

The UFC is on the road again after a fantastic PPV card in Miami last weekend, now traveling to Kansas City, Missouri for a fourteen-bout Fight Night card.

In the main event, former Featherweight champion Max Holloway looks to turn back the rise of British star Arnold Allen, who is riding eleven straight UFC victories. Fearsome striker Edson Barboza will face off with the all-action Billy Quarantillo in the co-main, while Dustin Jacoby faces off with Azamat Murzakanov in a clash of Light Heavyweight prospects in the featured bout.

The main card features six bouts slated for violence, check here for the prelims breakdown!

Max Holloway (23-7) vs. Arnold Allen (19-1) (FTW)

After a failed third shot at reclaiming his title from Alexander Volkanovski, Max Holloway is back, looking to derail another surging contender. Arnold Allen is on a certifiable tear with ten straight wins in the UFC, coming off two finishes over Dan Hooker and Calvin Kattar. He is incredibly well-rounded and constantly fires offense while boasting a high fight IQ. I do expect this fight to primarily play out on the feet, as Max’s range management and shot selection will make it difficult for Allen to close distance and get to the body lock he loves securing his opponent’s on the mat with. I expect a close fight on the feet for the early going with the stout defense and high fight IQ of both on clear display, but for Holloway to turn up the aggression for a TKO late in the fight.

My Pick: Max Holloway via Knockout

Edson Barboza (22-11) vs. Billy Quarantillo (17-4) (FTW)

My Pick: Edson Barboza via Decision

Dustin Jacoby (18-6-1) vs. Azamat Murzakanov (12-0) (LHW)

My Pick: Dustin Jacoby via Decision

Ion Cutelaba (16-9-1) vs. Tanner Boser (20-9-1) (LHW)

My Pick: Ion Cutelaba via Knockout

Pedro Munhoz (19-7) vs. Chris Gutierrez (19-3-2) (BW)

My Pick: Chris Gutierrez via Decision

Clay Guida (38-22) vs. Rafa Garcia (15-3) (LW)

My Pick: Rafa Garcia via Decision

The main card kicks off at 8:30 PM EST after the live prelims action at 5:30 PM!
