After a week away from action, the UFC returns to form at Miami-Dade Arena in Miami, Florida.

In the main event, Alex Pereira looks to cement his legacy opposite longtime rival Israel Adesanya, while gamer and BJJ elite Gilbert Burns squares off with Miami’s own Jorge Masvidal in our Welterweight co-main. The card also features numerous prospects looking to make a splash, with Joe Pyfer, Adrian Yanez, and Raul Rosas Jr. looking to make career-statement performances.

Main Card

Alex Pereira (7-1) vs. Israel Adesanya (23-2) II (MW Championship)

Our main event marks the fourth meeting between these high-level kickboxers with Adesanya looking to finally mark one in his win column. He had nearly secured victory in their November 2020 clash, up on the scorecards before “Poatan” forced the referee to step in with a barrage of strikes. The technical striking battle is going to be the name of the game in this fight, with neither fighter often looking to get to the mat. While Adesanya showed he can assuredly have success from top position, he did little to show his ability to get the fight there, going 1/4 on takedowns and racking up nearly four minutes of control time off a well-timed reversal. I expect a close battle on the feet with Pereira denying takedowns and finding success inside the pocket and the clinch for a knockout, likely in the third or fourth round.
