The UFC is closing out the month of march on the road once again, taking the Octagon to the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas for a thirteen-bout Fight Night card.

The main event features two of the most exciting scrappers at Bantamweight as former title challenger Cory Sandhagen looks to deny the ascent of Ecuadorian finisher Marlon Vera. In the co-main event, former Bantamweight champion Holly Holm is looking to get back on the winning track against former title challenger Yana Santos.

Main Card

We have a fantastic Bantamweight main event between two scrappers who always entertain when they’re in the cage. Cory Sandhagen has been in and out of the title picture since 2019 and will be looking to put himself back into contention with a win here. His high-volume style of unorthodox striking matches up incredibly with Vera’s own high-octane striking. While I do give Vera the edge in power, Sandhagen has much superior defense on the feet and utilizes his range to much greater success. I don’t see either fighter looking for takedowns heavily, but if this fight hits the mat, I see Sandhagen on top against the historically porous takedown defense of Vera. I expect a fun striking battle with Sandhagen edging in volume before scoring a finish in the late rounds.
