Ranking Updates After UFC Vegas 45

There are a decent amount of changes to report in the rankings after UFC Vegas 45.

In the men’s flyweight division, Amir Albazi moves up two spots to the number 11 position while Tim Elliott falls one spot to the number 12 position. Sumadaerji also moves down one spot and is now in the number 13 position.

For the men’s bantamweight division, Sean O’Malley moves up another spot this week and is now in the number 12 slot. Meanwhile, Ricky Simon finally makes his appearance into the rankings and is now holding the number 13 position. Raphael Assuncao suffered a tough loss over the weekend to the aforementioned Ricky Simon which now drops Assuncao down three spots to the number 15 position.

In the men’s lightweight division, Mateusz Gamrot wins a tough fought battle over Diego Ferreira on Saturday night which results in Gamrot finally making his appearance into the rankings. Gamrot now holds the number 12 position while Diego Ferreira falls three spots to the number 15 position.

For the men’s welterweight divsion, Belal Muhammad moves up 5 slots and now holds the number 5 position after his upset win over Stephen Thompson. As such, Stephen Thompson falls two spots to number 7, Neil Magny falls one spot to number 8, Sean Brady falls one spot to number 9 and Michael Chiesa falls one spot to number 10.

In the men’s middleweight division, Kevin Holland moves up one slot to the number 14 position and Chris Weidman falls one slot to the number 15 position.

For the women’s strawweight division, Tecia Torres moves up one place to number 7, Michelle Waterson moves up one place to number 8, Amanda Ribas moves up one to number 9 and Amanda Lemos moves up one to number 10. Also in the strawweights, Virna Jandiroba moves up two places to number 11, Jessica Penne moves up one place to number 13 and Brianna Van Buren moves up one place to number 14. The only other change to report is Luana Pinheiro, who makes her appearance into the strawweight rankings at the number 15 position.

In the women’s flyweight division, Vivane Araujo moves up one spot to number 6 while Joanne Wood falls one spot to number 7. Also in the flyweights, Jessica Eye moves up one spot to number 9 and Cynthia Calvillo falls one spot to number 10.

The only other changes to report are in the women’s bantamweight rankings where Raquel Pennington moves up one position to number 7 and Miesha Tate falls one position to number 8.
