The UFC Vegas 33 card has gotten beat up pretty bad recently, with one of the main card fights being lost earlier in the week.
Next up, the already postponed fight between Shamil Abdurakhimov and Chris Daukaus was scratched once again due to ongoing COVID-19 issues, with the bout being rebooked for the upcoming UFC 266 card in September.
With the scheduled co-headliner between Abdurakhimov and Daukaus cancelled, the UFC elected to boost the Welterweight contest between Niklas Stolze and Mounir Lazzez up. Unfortunately, Mounir Lazzez was unable to obtain a visa to enter the country, resulting in his removal from the card.
The UFC was able to quickly find a replacement for Stolze, who will now take on Jared Gooden in the third contest on the main card.
Taking over the co-main event assignment will be a Bantamweight fight between Kyung Ho Kang and Rani Yahya. The pair were originally on the prelims, and shifted to the main card later in the week following cancellations.
