UFC Vegas 30 has already been plagued by cancellations and fighters falling out.
Another fight has been lost, as Maxim Grishin fell out of his slated bout at Light Heavyweight opposite Ovince St. Preux.
Thankfully, a replacement was found and St. Preux will remain on the card. Tanner Boser will step in, with this now being a Heavyweight contest. This news was broken by Nolan King of MMAJunie.com.
This will be the second Heavyweight appearance for Ovince St. Preux (25-15). OSP is coming off a knockout loss to Jamahal Hill, but scored a highlight reel KO over Alonzo Menifield in his previous outing. OSP is a finishing machine, with knockout power and many submissions to work with.
Tanner Boser (19-8-1) is stepping in on short notice here. He was just seen in competition at UFC Vegas 28 a week and a half ago, where he dropped a split decision to Ilir Latifi. He will be making a three week turnaround in the hopes of righting his two-fight skid.
This bout will likely adorn the main card of UFC Vegas 30, set to take place on June 26th, next Saturday. Alexander Volkov and Cyril Gane headline the card in a matchup of massive technical strikers.
The Octagon returns to the Apex this Saturday with UFC Vegas 29, headlined by Dan Ige and The Korean Zombie.
