Former Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley has had a rough go of it in recent years.
He dropped his title to Kamaru Usman back in March of 2019 in a dominant decision defeat, then suffered three more defeats in a row.
Most recently, he lost by first-round submission in a Fight of the Night effort against Vicente Luque.
This morning, he was removed from the fan and UFC rankings, as Tom Feely of sherdog.com broke. As a result, Khamzat Chimaev moves into the rankings at #15.
At 39, Woodley is certainly out of his prime, but proved against a killer in Luque that he still is a plenty game fighter. He will surely find success in Bellator or another organization going forward.
