Dan Hardy Reportedly Fired From Commentary Slot by UFC

Earlier today, following the fantastic UFC 259 card, The Wrestling Observer dropped news of Dan Hardy being released from his role as commentator.

Dave Meltzer wrote the following: “Dan Hardy, 38, was fired by both the UFC and BT Sports as an announcer over an issue in Abu Dhabi where he got into an argument with a female employee.”

There are still few details on this story involving the female employee, with Hardy contesting the details on his Twitter page.

This incident follows some trouble Hardy got into with the UFC back in July on Fight Island, yelling at referee Herb Dean for stopping the fight between Francisco Trinaldo and Jai Herbert far too late. Dana White responded to that incident quite harshly, stating “I want to make this very clear: If you work for me, and you approach a judge or a referee or any type of official, I will fire you.”

I know I will miss Hardy in the broadcast booth, but send some support over to his YouTube channel, Full Reptile, for some more Hardy action (unless we finally get that long-teased UFC return).
