With four fights all cancelled from this card (although many were able to be found opponents), it seemed like the drastic rescheduling of this card had finally come to a close.
Well, not in this current pandemic state, as a cornerman of Ramiz Brahimaj, who was set to make his UFC debut opposite Takashi Sato this weekend, tested positive for COVID-19 and will be pulled from the card.
The UFC quickly found a replacement in Jason Witt (17-5) who is currently riding a four-fight winning streak out of various smaller promotions. Witt is primarily a grappler who seeks to use his control time and submission prowess to dominate on the mat. He sports a constant pace as well as ten total stoppages in his pro career, seven of those coming by submission. He is a well rounded and capable fighter who will look to make good use of this opportunity.
He will be taking on Takashi Sato (15-3, 1-1 UFC), who is currently coming off a loss to rising contender Belal Muhammad on the prelims on our card this weekend. Sato is a KO artist from Japan who loves nothing more than to throw haymakers, so be sure to tune in!
The card start time has been pushed back to 6 PM EST for the prelims, while the main card kicks off at 8 PM.
See you on Saturday, Freaks!
