April looks to be another impressive month, with three UFC shows lined up, including the Octagon’s return to ABC as well as UFC 261, where Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal will run it back.
White announced that the card will be headlined by the UFC welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman, versus his rival, Jorge Masvidal. In a way it’s poetic that nearly a year to the day later, fans will be allowed back at UFC events, does the rematch between these Usman and Masvidal make sense?
The champ has stated that Masvidal’s excuse for the defeat is the reason he is pursuing a rematch, as Jorge has repeatedly claimed that the short-notice nature of their first contest was to blame for the defeat. Well, he will have a chance to prove it. Just minutes ago, it was confirmed that Usman and Masvidal will be running it back at UFC 261, set to take place on April 24th.
