After an impressive first round, Edwards landed two eye pokes on Muhammad, the latter of which sent him to the floor in tears. The doctor was called in and we were shown in brutal nature the extent of Belal’s injuries. While crying on the floor with blood pouring from his eye, Belal simply stated “I can’t see anything”.
Well, apparently no one told Eryk Anders that. In the first round of his bout opposite Darren Stewart, Anders was getting close to a knockout victory before landing a knee to a grounded Stewart against the cage.
This weekend, we have a Fight Night event that is filled to the brim with fifteen scheduled bouts. Our main event is a Welterweight collision between top contender Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad, who stepped in for the COVID-reeling Khamzat Chimaev.

It seems that the just recently signed prospect will be retiring after his battle with COVID-19. Many thought that the 26-year-old would surely find himself with a UFC belt wrapped around his waist, but his health issues seem to be too severe for him to consider fully investing in the sport going forward. I am sure we will receive more information in the coming days, but for now, we send our best wishes to Chimaev and hope for a speedy recovery.
