The UFC is back in Vegas this weekend, bringing a twelve-bout fight card to the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas for International Fight Week.

The card suffered repeated late fight cancellations, with the heavily anticipated return of Conor McGregor being canceled. The card got filled in short order, however, with Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka rematching for Light Heavyweight gold. In the co-main, Brian Ortega and Diego Lopes face in a Featherweight barnburner sure to produce wild grappling exchanges, while Michael Venom Page and Ian Garry open the main card.

I am incredibly excited for this rematch, as I felt their original booking had an early stoppage. Even disregarding Alex’s time in Australia and broken toes, I still find myself leaning towards Jiri. He has the odd shot selection, constant pressure, and one-shot power to find Alex’s chin, as Pereira often leaves openings on the feet while blasting his KO shots. Not only is Jiri able to wade through the fire and deliver his own damage, but that is the style in which he prefers to fight. Granted, his hands-down approach and absolute refusal to check leg kicks leave him open to absorbing a KO shot of his own (making some form of under the safest bet for this bout), but I think Jiri can withstand the early fire to deliver his own knockout this time.
