The Octagon is back on the road this weekend, bringing a fourtten-bout Pay-Per-View card to the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

In the main event, Alexandre Pantoja will look to make the second defense of his title opposite red-hot prospect Steve Erceg, fresh off a knockout win over Matt Schnell. In the co-main event, Jose Aldo returns against talented striker Jonathan Martinez, with Brazilian prospects and fan favorites like Vitor Petrino, Caio Borralho, and Michel Pereira set to throw down on the undercard.

Main Card

Alexandre Pantoja (27-5) vs. Steve Erceg (12-1) (FLW Championship)

It’s rare that we see a fighter move as quickly from their UFC debut to a title shot, but in the case of Erceg (and Pantoja’s reign over the Flyweight division), it’s warranted. On top of a high-level ground attack, he has showcased his tools on the feet, recently knocking out Matt Schnell. We know what Pantoja brings, a furious pace from bell to bell with nonstop aggression on the feet and some of the best jiu-jitsu in the UFC currently. I think Erceg will make this a close bout, winning minutes on the feet by properly utilizing his superior range and long straights. However, I do think this is too big of a step up so soon and I see Pantoja controlling on the feet and working in damage on the feet for an entertaining decision nod.
