The UFC returns to Salt Lake City, Utah for a star-studded Pay-Per-View card.

The BMF belt is back up for grabs in the main event as Justin Gaethje and Dustin Poirier face off in a guaranteed barnburner of a rematch while Jan Blachowicz faces off with Alex Pereira in his first bout at Light Heavyweight. In the featured bout, UFC fan favorites Tony Ferguson and Bobby Green face off while a Welterweight clash between Michael Chiesa and Kevin Holland kicks off the main card.

Dustin Poirier vs. Justin Gaethje 2 (LW)

Our main event sees a new BMF crowned in this highly anticipated rematch. Dustin Poirier rebounded from his loss to Charles Oliveira with a submission of his own over Michael Chandler, while Gaethje picked up a decision over Rafael Fiziev, displaying a constantly evolving offense. I expect a high paced striking affair primarily playing out on the feet, as Gaethje has the wrestling to avoid the slick BJJ of Poirier. I like his more technical game to win out this time around and find a late knockout after consistent success with low kicks.

Jan Blachowicz vs. Alex Pereira (LHW)

We have an excellent title eliminator in the co-main, and I can’t wait to see where this fights plays out. An excellent grappler, Jan’s technical striking has come along massively in recent years to bolster his striking power. Pereira is looking for a new home at 205 pounds after suffering a devastating KO loss just three months ago. Blachowicz has a massive edge on the mat, where Pereira’s developing skillset falters. However, I think this will stay on the feet for a good portion of the fight with Alex doing superior damage, though the recent knockout gives me some pause for concern. Seeing Alex’s improved speed and reflexes at 207 pounds in kickboxing, I like him to land his signature left hook to earn a title shot.
